World-renowned flamenco and classical guitarist Esteban once again hits the stage at Sound Bites Grill Celebrity Show Room, bringing his legendary talents to Sedona on Saturday, March 17, starting at 7 p.m.
Esteban never disappoints. The majority of his music is his own compositions but in his concerts he incorporates great music from Johnny Cash to the Beatles. He will be performing with his daughter Teresa Joy for an intimate dinner concert that you will never forget.
Guitar lovers are never disappointed by the musical storytelling and journey that Esteban has been on. After a serious car accident and being told he would never play the guitar again, Esteban proves his passion for the guitar out ways any obstacles.
Sedona is a special place for Esteban and as an Artist in Residence at Sound Bites Grill; he performs there once or twice a month when his busy schedule allows. Sound Bites Grill owner Stephen Sullins and Esteban (Stephen Paul born in Pittsburgh) met many years ago when both were working at the Hyatt Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale.
Esteban was performing and Stephen was running the food and beverage department. Reconnecting over 20 years later in Sedona the two were excited to be able to work together again in one of the most beautiful places on earth… Sedona!
In the concert you will hear a beautiful collection of flamenco to classical music, jazz, and yes some Johnny Cash and Beatles tunes. The doors open at 5:30 with a start time of 7pm. The venue serves their entire dinner menu in the show room or you may purchase a dinner package which includes a 4 course meal.
If you are not going to the concert you will hear the music in the main dining room and patio of the restaurant where a ticket is not required. After the concert Esteban and his daughter Teresa Joy do a meet and greet and autograph C.D.s.
Teresa Joy, a spinning violinist, began her career at age 4. She enrolled in Mandell’s Suzuki Violin school at age 5 and, at age 7, began studying with noted violinist Moshe Bukhspan. By age 12, Teresa had performed at Carnegie Hall with the Metropolitan Youth Symphony, at the Heritage Square Concert Series for Accomplished Suzuki Violin Students and, regularly, with the Arizona Metropolitan Youth Symphony.
Since 2004, she has toured the country and performed live on television with father Esteban, notably in the PBS Special “Flame Flamenco and Romance”. She has also recorded over a dozen albums with Esteban, these albums charting over 100 times on the Billboard in various categories.
Esteban and Teresa Joy perform with Raul Yanez on piano and Joe Morris on drums. Sound Bites Grill is located at the Hyatt Pinon Pointe Shops in uptown Sedona. They are open for lunch and dinner daily at 11:30 a.m. and serve until 9pm and until 10 p.m. Fri. and Sat.
