Following a nationwide recruitment, the city of Sedona hired Alicia Peck as the new sustainability manager. The sustainability manager manages the city’s Sustainability Program including planning, organizing, and implementing programs, projects, and initiatives that help Sedona become a more sustainable and climate resilient city.
Peck comes with over 6 years of experience managing large-scale sustainability initiatives in a variety of organizations, including the private sector and the U.S. military (Army Corps). Peck has specific experience in benchmarking, program measurement and sustainability program development.
“I am very honored to be trusted with advancing the sustainability program for the city of Sedona. I look forward to settling into the community and doing great work with the positive energy and amazing foundation that has been laid out already,” said Peck.
“Alicia’s experience in the public and private sector will bring a wealth of experience to the city of Sedona. Alicia’s background in benchmarking and carbon foot printing will significantly assist the city with measuring progress and implementing the Council-passed Climate Action Plan,” said Sedona Deputy City Manager Joanne Keene.
Peck starts the position on Jan. 31, 2022.
