… I shoot a lot and for purposes of this nightly missive I usually select images from the days shooting or something close in proximity to the day. The the shots of yesterday are eventually forgotten as ever newer images are shot and added to the portfolio and eventually they become hidden buried by the thousands of shots I take every month.
I was cruising through some older folders tonight and came on a number of shoots I did a few years ago in Northern Wisconsin. Above is a shot of a white tail deer that was standing next to a roadway … I pulled over and got some nice shots of him … below is a shot I got in Birch Lake of a birch tree reflection in the lake amongst some lily pads along with reflections of the brush on shore. The solitude of a northern lake in fall is amazing and refreshing.
Time to call it for the night … have a beautiful day tomorrow … smile and keep breathing!

What time is left to us, come, Love.
The woods, the fields shall make us whole;
The nightly pageantry above
Our little world, keeps sweet our soul.
No peace this city’s madness yields—
A tawdry world in cheap veneer.
Out there the lovely woods and fields.
Come, Love, let us away from here.
