Alcantara is a family-owned, local business that began in 2004. Winemaker, Ron Brumley states “the rocky limestone, clay and loam soil and sunny climate in the Verde Valley is very similar to the wine making regions of France and Italy and after twenty years of experimentation the results are everything we hoped for and then some.” Alcantara Vineyards has over 20,000 vines and offers 17 different varietals set amid the confluence of the Verde River and Oak Creek. While you sip wine on the vineyard lawn and enjoy our peaceful surroundings, which include vineyards, wedding chapel a grass picnic area, the Verde River and bald eagles flying overhead, you’ll find you are part of our community and family. With wine tastings, river trips, weddings, week-end barbeques and private and public wine tasting, you’ll find something for everyone.
