Sedona Spas and Wellness: Where to Relax in Red Rock Country

Slow down, red rock style

Sedona Spas and Wellness

Resort spas with creekside massage tables, day spas the locals use, a salt room, a float tank, a myofascial clinic above a waterfall and a thousand singing bowls. Here is every spa in Sedona worth your afternoon, who takes day guests, and what they charge when they say so.

Sedona built its wellness reputation on the vortexes, but the spa scene stands on its own: two Forbes-rated resort spas, a day spa that has been voted the best in town for 17 straight years, and treatment rooms that open onto Oak Creek. Everything below was checked against each business’s own website in late September 2026. Where a spa does not publish prices, we say so rather than guess. Expect a 22 percent service charge at the resort spas and a minimum age of 16 almost everywhere.

  • Sedona Mago Center for Well-Being and Retreat is the multi-day option: 173 acres about 40 minutes southwest of town with all-inclusive retreats from three to five nights (Finding True Self, Sedona Wellness Retreat, Revitalizing Detox) and the Sedona Lantern Festival on October 17, 2026. 3500 E. Bill Gray Road, (928) 204-3391, sedonamagoretreat.org.
  • Drop-in sound baths also run at Down Dog Sedona on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons, and L’Apothecary and Wilde Haven offer sound healing on their spa menus. Our sound bath guide covers what to expect.

A note on sweat lodges: no Sedona business with a public website sells sweat lodge ceremonies, and after the 2009 deaths at a retreat here, reputable centers treat them as private, custom arrangements. Ask a retreat center directly and ask hard questions about who is running it.

How to Plan a Spa Day in Sedona

  • Book early. Amara asks for six to eight weeks, L’Apothecary for two, and the day spas fill on weekends. Midweek mornings are the easiest to get.
  • Pair it with the day. A sunrise hike to Cathedral Rock or Devil’s Bridge, then an afternoon table. A Jeep tour in the morning and a hot stone massage after is the classic Sedona combination.
  • Read the fine print. Resort spas add a 22 percent service charge, require guests to be 16 or older, and ask you to arrive 15 minutes early. Cancellations inside 24 hours are usually charged.
  • Use the facilities. At The Wilde, Los Abrigados, Amara and Hilton Bell Rock, a treatment buys you the steam room, pools or hot tubs for the day. Arrive early and stay late.
  • Stay on site. If the spa is the point of the trip, where you stay decides which pool you get: L’Auberge, Ambiente, Amara, The Wilde and Enchantment all put the spa a short walk from the room.
