An author, composer and playwright, Ms. Frankel began her career in the arts and entertainment business at the age of six along with her identical twin sister Jennie.
Best known for their “Doublemint Twins” chewing gum commercials in the mid-sixties, the twins also traveled oversees together as entertainers with the United Service Organization (USO) in Vietnam during 1968.
Terrie and Jennie performed in Hollywood and became New York Times bestselling authors.
Ms. Frankel also received a Vietnam Veterans of America President’s Award for Excellence in the Arts in 2014. She has served as an Honorary Commander of both the 944th Aeromedical Staging Squadron and 944th Medical Squadron with the U.S. Air Force at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona.
The recipient of a Diane Jones Woman of the Year Award and C.C. Porter Award of Compassion in 2016, Ms. Frankel also received a Vietnam Veterans of America President’s Award for Excellence in the Arts in 2014, which has previously been bestowed on: Raquel Welsh, Nancy Sinatra, Johnny Rivers and Bob Hope. Furthermore, she has served as an Honorary Commander of both the 944th Aeromedical Staging Squadron and 944th Medical Squadron with the U.S. Air Force at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona.
