As part of a new sustainability initiative, the city of Sedona encourages residents to apply for up to $5,000 in funding to make their homes more energy efficient and weatherized. Known as the Home Energy Retrofit Project and in partnership with CozyHome LLC, the project is intended to benefit moderate and low-income residents within Sedona city limits. Home weatherization and retrofitting services supported by this project include duct sealing, air sealing, insulation repair, lighting upgrades, mini-split installations and heat pump installations.

Project information and applications can be found under Sustainability Projects at www.sedonaaz.gov/sustainability. This is an ongoing project, and there is no deadline to apply by. Submit applications in PDF format to sustainability@sedonaaz.gov.

Properties receiving services must be homeowner occupied, and funding level is based on reported income. All homeowners applying are eligible for $100 towards a home energy audit with CozyHome LLC. Services rendered by CozyHome LLC are to be determined after a home energy audit and homeowner consultation. Since 2012, CozyHome has provided home energy audits and retrofits for over 1,000 homes within northern Arizona.
The Home Energy Retrofit Project aims to be an integral part of fulfilling the goals and objectives outlined by the city of Sedona’s Climate Action Plan. Improving community equity, reducing home utility costs and reducing community greenhouse gas emissions are goals of this project. Services covered by this project are subject to funding availability from the city of Sedona.
