The Wayllshine red LED flashlight has one mode, a simple on and off switch, and throws a red beam more than 150 yards. Red light does not spook animals the way white light does, which makes it useful for watching wildlife at night or for signaling. It runs on a single 1.5V AA battery or an AA-size rechargeable up to 4V; higher voltage gives a brighter light but more heat in the body.
