Sedona Heritage Museum volunteers surprised Mercedes and Jim Page of Orlando, Florida as the 10,000th visitor to the museum for 2021 when they walked through the doors on Monday, December 20th.

Traveling down the West Coast of the U.S., the couple was touring through Arizona on their way to spend Christmas with their son in Tucson. They decided to visit the museum because they both are very interested in history, including the early days in the Southwest.

The milestone for the Museum was marked with photographs and Museum docents presented them a gift bag of Arizona wine and books on Sedona history. The delighted couple enjoyed their visit and left with a special feeling for Sedona. They brought to their visit some interesting history of their own; Mrs. Page is a native of Cuba, who came to the United States as a young girl.

“With a slow recovery in Museum attendance from the negative impact of COVID, we are thrilled to once again be seeing these kinds of visitation numbers.” said Museum Administrator, Kathie Hamblen. “We hear so many positive remarks from our guests about their museum experience.”

The Sedona Heritage Museum is in Jordan Historical Park at 735 Jordan Rd. in Uptown Sedona, AZ. For more information, call 928-282-7038.
