About Butterfly Burger
Butterfly Burger opened in September 2020 as Chef Lisa Dahl’s most creative culinary concept yet, a “couture burger lounge” that takes the humble American burger and elevates it to fine dining quality while keeping the atmosphere sophisticated rather than stuffy. Lisa Dahl describes the philosophy: “The popularity of a burger made well and elevated experience isn’t for the masses, it’s indulgent and sublime with a top shelf cocktail and jazz setting the stage for a sultry experience.”
The 2,500-square-foot space features a sleek marble bar with amber lighting and rose-gold mirror, exotic faux alligator booths, rough-hewn mushroom wood planks, cobblestones, bold butterfly imagery throughout, and a rolling library ladder accessing the bourbon library. Seating is limited to 82 diners, which keeps the lounge intimate but means waits can be long during peak hours.
Butterfly Burger is part of Lisa Dahl’s six-restaurant Sedona family, alongside Dahl & DiLuca Ristorante Italiano (1995), Cucina Rustica (2003), Pisa Lisa Woodfired Pizza (2 locations), and Mariposa Latin Inspired Grill. Lisa is currently expanding the Butterfly Burger concept into other markets.
