Free Psychic Chat: How Spiritual Seekers Can Try a Reading Online for Free
Many people come to Sedona for the vortex sites, and then notice readings advertised all over town. If you’re curious but unsure, a free online psychic chat lets you try a reader before paying for an in-person session. Each platform below gives new users a few minutes or some credit at no cost, and we checked every offer on the providers’ own pages. You’ll also see what the free part covers, what it costs afterward, and how to spend those minutes well.
How the Free Part of a Psychic Chat Works
Free offers come in three forms and all of them are for first-time users:
- Free minutes. The first three minutes with an advisor cost nothing (Nebula, Kasamba).
- Credit. The platform adds money to your balance or refunds your first minutes (Purple Garden, Oranum, MysticSense).
- Public rooms. Readers stream live to everyone watching, and you join without booking anyone (Oranum).
After the trial, the advisor’s per-minute rate applies, and most sites want a card or deposit before the free part starts. People still ask on Quora whether a totally free, no-sign-up reading exists; in practice, every offer here comes with limits.
Three minutes show you how a free online psychic communicates and whether their style suits you. They’re too short for a detailed reading, and no reader can promise accuracy at any length. A reading also doesn’t replace medical, legal, or financial advice.
To make this short time count, write one focused question before the chat opens, such as "What should I weigh before I accept this job offer?" If you paste your question in first, the free minutes will be used for the answer.
Which Live Psychic Sites Offer Free Chat Minutes?
Nebula and Kasamba open with free minutes, MysticSense refunds your first five, and Purple Garden and Oranum give welcome credit. Live psychic chat free minutes vary in length and in how you claim them, and each free psychic chat online here moves to per-minute billing afterwards. We checked offers on each platform’s site and ratings on Trustpilot.

5 Sites for a Free Psychic Reading, Reviewed
1. Nebula: Spiritual Guidance Space
On Nebula, your first 3 minutes are free, and the rest of the first reading is 80% off. You add payment details first, and Nebula charges only once a reading begins. A short quiz matches you with advisors, and the homepage lists 900+ psychics available 24/7 for tarot, astrology, numerology, love, career, and more.
Nebula also offers birth chart readings, horoscopes, and compatibility tools, which help if you want astrology in the picture. For something close to a free psychic reading by date of birth and time, share your birth details with an astrology advisor, and spend the free minutes on one part of your chart. Featured advisors charge an average of $4.99 per minute (with lower prices, such as $1 per minute, also available), and because readers are online around the clock, you can return to the same advisor when you have a new question.
With the biggest repository of 17,464 Trustpilot reviews, users describe warm, easy conversations. One common drawback is that long threads can get expensive, which is typical for these marketplaces, not just Nebula.
2. Kasamba
Kasamba has screened advisors since 1999, and its free minutes reset with each new reader. You get a free 3-minute psychic reading with each of your first three advisors, and nothing is charged if you leave within three minutes. A card must be on file, and the free minutes cover chat only.
Advisors are sorted by tarot, astrology, numerology, mediumship, and love, so a short free psychic love reading with two or three readers is easy to set up. Listed rates ran from $1.99 to $33.99 per minute.
Billing disputes and paid minutes lost while advisors type are the recurring complaints behind its 3.6/5 on Trustpilot.
3. Purple Garden
Every Purple Garden advisor works by chat, voice, or video, and you pick the channel when you connect. The free part is credit: an invite code advertised $20 when we checked, with terms inside the iOS and Android apps. Because the credit sits in your balance, you can spend it on whichever format feels comfortable. The site lists 1,000+ practitioners for tarot, astrology, oracle cards, and mediumship, at $1.99 to $5.99 per minute.
Its 3.7/5 on Trustpilot comes with one warning: several reviewers mention a fee taken from dormant balances.
4. Oranum
Oranum looks more like a streaming site than a chat directory, with readers broadcasting live on video. It’s the easiest way to watch a free online psychic at work before you decide anything. Members can use the Free Chat room without a time limit, guests can join with preset messages, and first-time members get 9.99 credits after a card check.
Readers cover astrology, tarot, dream interpretation, and clairvoyance. Private sessions bill per second at each reader’s rate, and extras such as two-way audio cost more.
Trustpilot reviews are split: of 118, 53% give five stars and 42% give one, often over readers pushing for extra credits.
5. MysticSense
Readers on MysticSense take calls through a browser-based call center, which suits you if you’d rather talk than type. Web chat, video, and SMS work too, so a free psychic question by text is possible within the credited minutes. You deposit at least $10 and get your first five minutes refunded after the reading, up to $10 or $15 depending on the deposit.
The site lists 1,049 psychics for topics from love and career to grief, using tools such as tarot and astrology. Each sets a per-minute rate shown on their profile.
At 4.6/5 from Trustpilot reviews, MysticSense scores highest here, though many recent reviews come from advisors describing the hiring process.
Free Online or in Person in Sedona?
A short chat online tells you whether readings suit you before you spend more in town, where in-person astrology readings run from $75 for a basic natal chart to $200+ for full progressions and transits. Our guide to in-person readings covers what to expect from a local reader.
Which Free Psychic Chat to Try First
The right free psychic chat depends on what you want from those first minutes:
- Astrology context: Nebula
- Several readers to compare: Kasamba
- A phone call: MysticSense
- Watching before paying: Oranum
- Video: Purple Garden
Before the trial ends, decide how much you’re willing to spend after it, so the per-minute rate never catches you mid-sentence.
FAQ
How can I get a free psychic reading online?
Sign up as a new user on a platform with free minutes or welcome credit, and use it with one advisor. The free part usually lasts three to five minutes, and most sites ask for a card or deposit first.
How do I ask a psychic a question for free?
Use a new-user free-minute offer and type your question out before the chat begins. On Kasamba, the free minutes apply to each of your first three advisors, so one question can go to several readers.
Can I get a free psychic chat without a credit card?
Rarely, because most platforms want a card even for the free minutes. Oranum is the exception: its Free Chat room is open to members and guests without payment.
How much does a psychic reading cost after the free minutes?
Advisors set their own rates, which range from about $1 to $34 per minute on these platforms. In-person astrology readings in town start at $75, according to our local reading guide.
How can I tell if a free psychic reading is honest?
No reader can guarantee an outcome, so treat promises of certainty as a warning sign. Read reviews as one signal among several, since ratings often reflect how a session felt, and end the chat if you’re pushed to buy more time.
