On Friday, April 8, 2022, CHSM proudly presents Jim Gemmill’s fascinating recollections of the Big Hole Mining Company at 10:00 am at the Clark Memorial Clubhouse.
Mr. Gemmill’s father, Dick, and grandfather, Mark, were partners in the mining company from 1954 until 1974. As a teenager, Mr. Gemmill learned the business hands on as a summer laborer during the 1960s. His discussion will be enhanced with photos and artifacts.
As is true for most of the material that can be accessed at clarkdalemuseum.org, this program is available at no charge. The only exception is the 2021 Virtual Home Tour, for which there is a modest $20 fee.
In addition to narrated videos, recorded lectures and historic photos, local high school yearbooks are available for viewing.
Though the Clarkdale Historical Society and Museum is only available for online visitation at this time, members and volunteers are still being sought. CHSM is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization.
