L’Auberge de Sedona

L’Auberge de Sedona is the creekside resort in Uptown: cottages and rooms along Oak Creek under the sycamores, a Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel, restaurant and spa, and since 2025 the subject of a $30 million transformation that added 70 rooms in a new cliffside wing called The Cliffs, for 158 in all, a heated cliffside pool with a bar and cabanas, refreshed interiors and an expanded terrace at its restaurant. In 2026 it was named the number one hotel in Sedona by U.S. News, a Travel and Leisure World’s Best top ten Arizona resort, and one of Esquire’s best new hotels.

Dining: Cress on Oak Creek

Cress on Oak Creek is the resort’s main restaurant and one of two Forbes Four-Star restaurants in Sedona, with a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2025 and 2026. Breakfast is served creekside Monday to Saturday from 7 to 11 a.m., lunch from 11 to 2, and Sunday brunch runs 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. with live music. Dinner is nightly from 5 with the last seating at 9, and the menu runs to three and six course tasting menus that change with the season; the price is not published, so call. Live music again on Thursday and Friday evenings. The dress code is resort casual. Reservations are strongly recommended and open to non-guests through OpenTable or at (928) 204-4376; non-guests should expect a valet parking charge. A cigar menu and a cellar of boutique American and international wines, Cognacs and ports round it out.

Etch Kitchen and Bar, the resort’s former casual restaurant, has closed and merged into Cress. Its role is now filled by Cress Bar, open daily into the evening for casual lunch and dinner, a humidor and seasonal cocktails; the resort’s pages list its opening time as both 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., so check before a lunch visit. The new Duck Pond Cliffside Pool and Bar serves light bites and cocktails from 10 to 6, for hotel guests only.

L’Apothecary Spa

The spa, also Forbes Four-Star, is the only one in Sedona offering seasonal creekside massages under the sycamores, in 60 and 90 minute sessions, alongside the Desert Flower massage, body wraps, cranial sacral work, reiki, sound healing and a blending station for custom oils. It is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., ages 16 and up, and asks for bookings two weeks ahead; prices and the day-guest policy are not published, so call (928) 204-4321. See our guide to Sedona spas.

Good to Know

• The location is the point: a short walk to Uptown’s galleries and restaurants, yet the creek drowns out the road.
• The resort’s 89Agave Cantina in Uptown is its casual Mexican sister restaurant.
• Private creekside dining can be arranged for celebrations.
• In-room dining for guests runs breakfast 7 to 11, lunch 11 to 9 and dinner 5 to 9.
