… this morning I got a call from a friend and he suggested we head out and find some creatures with wings to shoot … not a lot of sun, pretty cool and rain in the forecast … what would any sane photographer or ex duck hunter do? Yep, 20 minutes later we were out the door and in search of. I got this shot of two Snow Geese as they were headed out of the pond we were shooting … close formation and no doubt headed into the new year 2022.
The photo below is one from earlier this year and although it originally reminded me of a day when Corky turned off her computer, picked up her purse and walked out of the law office it also reminds me of how good it will be to put this year behind us … Corky, if you didn’t read the email I originally sent out with this photo, departed the office for an all day shopping spree at Neiman Marcus. When she returned she stacked up a lot of boxes in front of my door and went back to work … to this day I still have no idea what I said or did, but Cork did have a very knowing smile on her face … she was in charge In this photo the Great Blue Heron on the right seems to be saying what I experienced, “what did I say?”
A few more photos I especially like from this past year: Three Turkey Vultures perched on the side of a hill rising from Lake Pleasant … they are extremely intelligent raptors and biding their time … natures waste management system. An Osprey Leaving his perch with talons just releasing their grip on the tree. Next a Mountain Bluebird that I love and had several prints made of it for our home and as gifts … when stressed it is guaranteed to sooth and calm the soul. A pair of Donkeys comforting each other … life is good! One of my favorite portraits of a Bobcat. A favorite aerial shot of Sedona and finally a reminder of where we came from and where we are going … we have answers to neither of those questions, but like the Comet Neowise, we are traveling that path and we have control over nothing … we have a fantastic spaceship that we call home.
Thank you for being there, it is a privilege to share the beauty I find in life with you. 2022 marks the beginning of the 20th year of sharing … wow!

It seems to me that never before have I walked with the spirit as now, nor overcome space, time, and the elements as I overcome them now.

In addition to sales of photographs already taken Ted does special shoots for patrons on request and also does air-to-air photography for those who want photographs of their airplanes in flight. All special photographic sessions are billed on an hourly basis.
Ted also does one-on-one workshops for those interested in learning the techniques he uses. By special arrangement Ted will do one-on-one aerial photography workshops which will include actual photo sessions in the air.
