Today’s Photo from Ted Grussing Photography: A Little This and That

… it has been a very good day, as is affirmed by the fact that I am still breathing and getting this missive and two new photos out … however no particular thoughts, topic or direction came to me tonight so it shall be a little of this and a little of that. There are days like that and it is just nice to be be here. Perhaps it has something to do with my diet of the past couple of days … yesterday my friend from Boston brought over two cherry turnovers and two cinabons and that with copious quantities of coffee was breakfast … my cousin and his wife brought a coconut cream pie from Rock Springs over in the afternoon and that was dinner … a couple Merci chocolates and Haagen Dazs ice cream for dessert 🙂 Never could have gotten away with that when I was kid.

Coconut cream pie and coffee for breakfast today …

The photo above is of a California Seagull that came sweeping in for a low pass to pick up a piece of food (coconut cream pie?) They are spectacular fliers and fun to watch and shoot.

Below is an aerial shot of the NW end of the Painted Desert with the Little Colorado river wending its way through the desert. Part of the Chinle formations are in the upper left portion of the image … love that area and hope to explore it more from the ground this year.

Have a beautiful day … be brave and discover the health food I have found and am enjoying! Smile and share the joy you find daily.

Cheers,

Ted

The night will soothe you like a tender mother, folding you

against her soft bosom, and hiding you from the harm

of the world. Though despised and rejected by men in

the light of the day, the night will not reject you; and in the

still of her soft shadows you are free. After the day’s struggle,

there is no freedom like unfettered thoughts, no sound like

the music of silence.
