… first we have a Great Egret go airborne off the side of a very steep slope above the shore and glide out over the water of the lake seeking somewhere where we are not … thanks to some nice back lighting we have very fine detail in the wings and a sharp brilliant eye.
In the lower shot we have been airborne for some time and are catching most of the Sedona metro area. In the foreground is the loop area and Oak Creek is within the emerald green trees snaking its way to the south. around the western edge of House Mountain then down to the SE merging with the Verde River east of Cottonwood.
Upper center we are looking down runway 03 at Sedona Airport … to the left of it is west Sedona, above it is uptown and to the right the chapel area. On the horizon on the left side are the San Francisco Peaks, the loaf like shape on right horizon is Mormon Mountain.
Busy day working on photos and some gem cutting … visits with friends and a dinner that only a bachelor would make … it did provide nourishment … I think.
Into a beautiful day after closing one down … choose to make it a great day and be kind to yourself and others.
Cheers,
Ted
Work as if thy task were made for thee;
Be strong as if thou had courage,
And charitable as if thou hadst been rewarded;
Remain poor if riches are dishonorable,
And carry poverty with the dignity of virtue.
When others dine sumptuously , eat thy crust;
Let love be thy guide and justice thy God—
