… five hours on the lake produced some of the most beautiful shooting I have had in a while … above is a Great Egret that flew right at us from the end of a small bay on the NE part of the lake and below a diminutive Horned Grebe in breeding plumage just as he rose out of the water to enter flight. If you click on the photo to see the full size image you can see the sheet of water rising up against his breast as he leaves the water.
Hundreds more very nice shots and difficult decisions as to which ones to keep … yep, it was one of those days where the great shots were numerous!
A special hi to Mike! As we were coming out of a bay into the main lake, a fisherman hailed us and told me he was on this email list and proceeded to tell us where he had seen some eagles. Thanks Mike and we had a great day.
Have a beautiful day … keep breathing and smile … life is good and we are here … for now!
Cheers,
Ted
O sweet content! where is thy mild abode
Where I may dwell in endless peace?
Show me the much-sought road
And give the lease.
The answer Came, “Then cease to vainly roam
In search of me, for thou wilt find
My quiet hidden home
Within thy mind.”
