Creekside American Bistro

Creekside American Bistro has served breakfast, lunch and dinner above Oak Creek since 2008, from a spot at the Y with covered outdoor decks that look straight at the red rocks. It is the original restaurant of Chef Mercer Mohr’s Mercer’s Kitchen group, which also runs Mesa Grill, Rascal and Rene at Tlaquepaque, and it has been voted Sedona’s best happy hour nine years running. What to Order

• Breakfast and brunch (7:30 to 11, brunch dishes until 4): chilaquiles $19, huevos rancheros $21, Belgian waffle or French toast $18, the Sonoran breakfast burrito $18, steak Benedict $26, shrimp and grits $32, and Ms. Emily’s warm croissants at $12.
• Lunch: the build-your-own Wagyu burger $23, hot pastrami $22, ahi tuna nachos $24, Baja shrimp tacos $17 or $24, lamb chop lollipops $32, Maryland blue crab cakes $33.
• Dinner (4 to 9): penne carbonara with chicken $34, parmesan-crusted chicken $34, broiled halibut $38, seasonal salmon $36, braised short rib $41, and the Beeler’s heritage Duroc tomahawk pork chop at $49.
• Happy hour (3:30 to 5:30 daily, bar and front patio only): Baja shrimp tacos two for $10, ahi tuna tartar nachos $18, lamb chop lollipops $24, crab cakes $24, guacamole $9, shishitos $9, zero-proof cocktails $8.

Prices are from the summer 2026 menus on the restaurant’s website. Cards carry a 3 percent surcharge, and the kitchen now cooks only with seed-free oils.

Good to Know

• Open daily: breakfast 7:30 to 11, brunch and lunch 11 to 4, dinner 4 to 9.
• Reservations for parties of up to seven on OpenTable, with a two-hour dining window; walk-ins welcome.
• Dogs are welcome on the patios, and there is a dog menu.
• About 60 seats outside and 50 in; the decks are the reason to come, so ask for one.
• Thanksgiving menus are posted each fall; book early.
